The first game in the New Year between Milwaukee (14-15) and Chicago (20-10) was one of those “fun games” with lots of crowd-pleasing moments. Michael Jordan and Glenn “Big Dawg” Robinson were on fire for the whole game, both scored 44 points apiece (Jordan 15-22, Robinson 18-30 from the field) and made a lot of great plays. Jordan in particular was phenomenal. He brought his vintage game – fadeaways, alley-oops, reverse layups, coast-to-coast plays – you name it. He had the fans on their feet all game long with his spectacular play, only a month before his 35th birthday. His teammates were also great, especially Longley and Rodman. Luc had almost a triple double (24 pts, 9 rbs, 8 ast) while Rodman stole the show in the last minutes. Not with his rebounding or defense, although he had 21 rebounds in this game. “The Menace” went crazy on 3-pointers. “Taco-Dennis” hit a couple of threes, rolled the score up to 114-100 and in doing so gave the jubilant crowd a round of free tacos.
